@ivan@bonfire.cafe @spark464 thank you! 🙏

Found something interesting about Circles. At first, I thought it was just a fancy word for private lists of people around a specific topic, just like Mastodon. For example, I have a "Can't Miss" list in Mastodon.

In Bonfire, Circles can be set as Private (like Mastodon lists), Local or Public permission. When public, any non-authenticated user can see your circle and related feed, and the member list. They can't follow them all in one swipe, but they can follow each individually.

@spark464 @admin @box464@mastodon.social @ivan@bonfire.cafe @mayel@bonfire.cafe I think there may be a bug with usernames that start with an underscore... otherwise I can't explain the strange behavior (re: my Mastodon username)

@spark464 @admin @box464@mastodon.social another FASCINATING experiment: if I hover with my mouse over the Fediverse profiles I tagged, I get a "mailto" code over my Mastodon and Sharkey profiles. The Mastodon one has the weird dash inserted... and your Mastodon profile seems to work ok (it's even included in the reply to my previous post, unlike my Mastodon and Sharkey profiles).

I'll add screenshots to this comment.

not sure what's the best way to report this bug to @ivan@bonfire.cafe and @mayel@bonfire.cafe ?

@ele @admin @box464@mastodon.social @ivan@bonfire.cafe @mayel@bonfire.cafe I did get a notification on mastodon.social for this. And a notification icon on Bonfire as well for spark.

I've noticed that as well when I edit posts. The Bonfire Edit dialog isn't quite right. I usually just delete it and start over.

@spark464 @admin I did an additional test yesterday including my Mastodon @_elena@mastodon.social Sharkey @elena@calckey.world and Wordpress accounts @ele@elenarossini.com and the fascinating thing is that the only notification I got was from Wordpress! Mind = blown.

I tried to edit the post and the markup language was so strange... I noticed how a "/" was inserted between "@" and "__" in my Mastodon username to turn it into a hyperlink. There was also "mailto" code there. No wonder the notification didn't work.

I ended up deleting the post because it was bugging me that I couldn't properly edit it.

I wonder what's your experience with notifications on other platforms? Like, are you getting anything if I tag @box464@mastodon.social ?
