A whistleblower from the U.S. Social Security Administration says members of DOGE uploaded hundreds of millions of Social Security records to a vulnerable cloud server. Chief Data Officer Charles Borges says despite his concerns, other agency officials signed off on a decision to upload records that include applicants' names, places of birth, citizenship, Social Security numbers of family members, and other personal and financial information to a "cloud environment that circumvents oversight."
