Hungary has closed a passenger railway to build a battery factory
The Debrecen – Nagykereki line used to continue as #CrossBorderRail to Oradea, although the border section is long gone

@jon That's curious, the theories I heard before were that they were expanding the airport.

@HaTetsu And as @wrzlbrnft alludes to, this line is more important than some other Hungarian branch lines, as they even used larger Metrowagonmash DMUs rather than Bzmot railbuses there. But whether it's airport or battery factory the real reason I don't know. Or both.
