Good morning Fedi friends! It's only 7:30am but I have accomplished so much already this morning.

I woke up naturally at 5:50am... by 6:30am I was in the living room on my laptop, looking up #Tailscale tutorials. I set it up for my home system...

Now I'm off to shower before my little one wakes up. There's no pre-school on Wednesdays in France, only daycare for 3 hours in the morning, so I need to squeeze in work any way I can. An early rise worked out perfectly today. All this because I went to bed with the intention of reading a book - at 9:30pm - and fell asleep right away 😂

A new #GoToSocial version is out and I'll be updating (via #YunoHost) so I can use it.

I typically refrain from updating too quickly but I'm experiencing weird bugs in Ivory for iOS (cannot like posts) so I'm curious to see if anything improves.

Please wish me luck!!!

Edit/update: the warnings in YunoHost make me a little scared. REALLY WISH ME LUCK PLEASE!

a screenshot of the warnings that appear when you click on "update" GoToSocial in the YunoHost dashboard. The warning reads: GoToSocial takes some time (from some seconds to some minutes) after each version upgrades to perform various things, like database migration or optimizations.
If your instance is not accessible, please be patient and do not restart it manually at the risk of breaking everything!

This update will render your instance unavailable from dozens of minutes to hours, maybe days, depending on its size and the resources of your server.
Please plan your upgrade accordingly, by running it just before going to sleep, for example.

Good morning Fedi friends!

I feel a little bad that I haven't been able to carry out self-hosting experiments for like a month now 😢

In my defense, I've been busy promoting the Fediverse (this Friday will mark my 3rd podcast interview - with @firesidefedi YAY, after @aprilorg and @podcast). ICYMI I was also in Berlin for #FediDay, where I had the honor to speak. And I've been busy editing foreign-language version of my Fedi promo video. It's been a fantastic month... but all these activities mean that I have forgotten EVERYTHING about #Docker so I need to go back to the basics and re-watch intro videos. I literally remember nothing, LOL.
